The Visual Editor is where you will spend most of your time when updating the LXGlobal website. It shows a live preview of your page right inside CloudCannon, so you can see exactly how your changes will look before you publish them.

Three Key Areas of the Visual Editor

When you open a page in the Visual Editor, you will see three main areas. Each one plays a different role in helping you edit your content.

Preview

The large center area shows a live preview of your page exactly as visitors will see it on the website.

Sidebar

The panel on the left side of the screen lists every field and content block on the page for detailed editing.

Toolbar

The bar across the top holds the Save button, page title, and navigation controls for switching pages.

How to Open the Visual Editor

Follow these steps to open any page in the Visual Editor from your CloudCannon dashboard.

1

Open the Pages collection

From the CloudCannon dashboard, click Pages in the left sidebar to see a list of all the pages on your website.

2

Click the page you want to edit

Find the page you want to update in the list and click on its name. The page will open in the Visual Editor automatically.

3

Wait for the preview to load

The live preview may take a few seconds to appear. Once it loads, you will see the page exactly as it looks on the live website, ready for editing.

💡
Tip
If a page opens in the wrong editor (for example, showing raw code instead of a visual preview), look for an editor toggle in the top-right corner of the page. Click the Visual option to switch to the Visual Editor.

Two Ways to Edit

Once you have a page open in the Visual Editor, there are two approaches to making changes. You can use whichever feels more comfortable, or mix and match.

Inline Editing

Click directly on text or images in the live preview to edit them in place. This is the fastest way to update content you can see on the page.

Sidebar Editing

Use the sidebar panel to access every field on the page, including settings that are not visible in the preview, like SEO metadata and link URLs.
