The Visual Editor is your main workspace for editing the LXGlobal website. It shows a live preview of each page alongside a sidebar where you can update content, images, and settings. Every change you make appears instantly in the preview.
What the Visual Editor Looks Like
When you open a page in the Visual Editor, you will see three main areas on your screen:
- 1The Live Preview Takes up most of the screen. It shows exactly what your page will look like to visitors. You can click directly on text and images to edit them.
- 2The Sidebar Panel Appears on the left side. It displays all the editable fields for the content block you have selected, such as headings, descriptions, images, and link URLs.
- 3The Top Toolbar Contains the Save button, page status, undo/redo controls, and a link to switch between different editor views.
How to Open the Visual Editor
Follow these steps to open any page in the Visual Editor:
- 1Go to your Dashboard
Log in to CloudCannon and make sure you are on the LXGlobal project. You should see the main dashboard.
- 2Open the Pages collection
In the left sidebar of the dashboard, click
Pages. You will see a list of every page on the LXGlobal website. - 3Click the page you want to edit
Find the page in the list and click its name. CloudCannon will open it directly in the Visual Editor.
- 4Wait for the preview to load
The live preview may take a few seconds to appear. Once it loads, you are ready to start editing.
Click on any content block in the preview to see its fields appear in the sidebar. This is the fastest way to jump straight to the section you want to edit.
Two Ways to Edit
The Visual Editor gives you two methods for changing content. You can use whichever feels more comfortable, or switch between them freely.
Click directly on text or images in the preview to edit them right where they appear. What you see is exactly what your visitors will see.
Use the sidebar panel on the left to fill in structured fields like URLs, button labels, colours, and settings that are not visible on the page itself.
Remember to save your work before leaving the page. Unsaved changes will be lost if you navigate away. Look for the blue Save button in the top toolbar.
